Studio two

Our most intimate studio, ideal for one-on-one work such as vocal recording, audiobooks and overdubs. Historically favoured by singer-songwriters and hip-hop artists for its tight, dry vocal sound. Although capable of recording a full band, our producers mainly use Studio 2 for overdub recording, editing and in the box mixing.

Past and present projects include: Mark Ronson, The Wanted, Tom Hingley and Isobel Steele

Control room

Featuring its own dedicated vocal booth and classic analogue outboard from API, Avalon, Universal Audio and Tubetech, Studio 2 is linked to all our main live rooms, making it no less a creative option to our main room and a perfect antidote to the all too sterile world of modern digital recording.

A well-defined collection of some of the worlds most popular valve, ribbon, condenser and dynamic microphones, gives you access to the rich, three-dimensional sounds used by artists including Paul Heaton, Jesca Hoop, Smokey Robinson, Snoop Dogg and Justin Timberlake amongst others.

Tech specs

and backline

Vintage drums from Ludwig and Hayman, iconic synths by Moog, Sequential Circuits and Roland, classic amps from Fender, Vox, Marshall and Mesa Boogie, form a small selection of highlights from our 20 year and counting collection.

Relaxing spaces

With creativity, taking a break can often be a more productive option. Whether it’s for quiet refocus or a sit-down meal, we have a number of comfortable spaces available. For those who don’t believe in that nonsense and prefer to plough through, all our staff are barista trained and serve coffee, fresh from our friends at the Heart & Graft Coffee Roastery.
