Ian Stewart
Ian has over 20 years experience recording and mixing a wide range of genres and instruments. Everything from heavy rock through to Indian hymns. Over the years he has been fortunate enough to work with and learn from world class artists and producers such as Justin Timberlake, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin and Mike Skinner (The Streets). He brings that knowledge and experience to every project he takes on.
As a producer, Ian is calm, approachable and easy to get on with. He values creating a good musical relationship from the start, with the ultimate aim of serving the song in the best way possible.
His pathway into music came from DJing trance in the late 90s and he still has a strong passion for electronic music production in general.
Creatively, the thing Ian enjoys the most is taking a basic guitar or piano and vocal demo and working with the artist to create a full arrangement around it. His sound in this process is definitely along the electronic/indie pop vibe.
Ian is also an experienced audiobook producer. He has completed audiobooks featuring Sir Chris Hoy (six-time Olympic cycling champion), Cel Spellman (BBC Radio 1, Cold Feet), Louise Minchin (BBC Breakfast Presenter), Professor Max McKeown and has produced books for Audible, Bonnier Books and Verity Productions.
We trust Ian whole-heartedly with our music and feel like it couldn’t be in more capable hands. He listens and delivers and isn’t afraid to give constructive and honest feedback when asked. He’s really elevated our sound, cranked our music up a notch and we’re so grateful to be able to work so closely with such a fantastic producer.
